Terms &Conditions
According to the unilateral decision made by the Chinese government, ordinary passport holders from Singapore can gain access to China without applying for visas for up to 15 days for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends, or transit. The Centre is responsible for accepting visa applications for visiting mainland China from ordinary passport holders who are Singapore citizens applying for visas for over 15 days for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends, or transit, and citizens of other countries possessing Singapore permanent residence or work permits, collecting visa fees on behalf of the Chinese Embassy and returning passports. Foreign nationals holding diplomatic and service (official) passports or eligible for applying for China's diplomatic, courtesy and service visas, or those applying for a visa /entry permit to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China should still apply directly to the Chinese Embassy.
The Centre welcomes you using its services. While providing you with high quality services, we kindly remind you of the following:
i. The Centre has no involvement in the visa assessment and decision-making process. Whether a visa is to be issued or not to be issued, and what type of visa to be issued as well as its period of validity, number of entry and duration of stay shall be decided by the Chinese Embassy in the light of China's relevant laws and regulations. Applicant will be required to pay a service fee to the Centre regardless of approval or disapproval of his or her application by the Embassy. The service fee is non-refundable.
ii. To facilitate assessment by the Embassy of your application, you are kindly required to: a) prepare all the documents that are required and ensure they are genuine and credible; b) complete the visa application form with true and accurate information (application form for a child under 18 years of age should be signed by one of his or her parents or guardians and the relationship indicated). The Chinese Embassy has the right to request the applicant to provide additional supporting documents or to come to the Embassy for an interview.
iii. Submit your visa application at an appropriate time so that your visa would not expire before your planned departure for China or it would not be too late for you to obtain a visa. Usually you should apply about one month in advance of your intended date of entry into China, and do not apply three months earlier.
iv. Please carefully check all the information on your visa when you collect your passport. If you have any queries about the visa, you should report it to the counter staff immediately. You will be responsible for any consequences arising from the following: a) Your visa becoming invalid and cannot therefore be used as a result of your own fault or any act by a third party acting on your behalf; b) In the event that you are refused to board an aircraft or to enter China due to your failure to check all the information printed on your visa including your name’s spelling, birthday, nationality, your visa's number of entry, period of validity and duration of stay as well as the number and validity of your passport before departure for China; c) your visa cannot be used due to your own other reasons.
v. Strictly in line with relevant laws of Singapore, the Centre shall take every precaution to ensure the safety of the personal information and documents of the applicants, but it shall not be liable for any consequences due to events or acts beyond its reasonable control such as natural disasters, unforeseen accidents and robbery, etc (Force Majeure), which may occur when the information and documents are in transit between the Centre and the Chinese Embassy. The Centre shall be liable to applicants for related cost of replacement of lost or damaged passport in transit to the Chinese Embassy, where such losses or damage are directly attributable to the mistake, negligence or default of the Centre. The Centre shall bear the cost of replacement of the passport incurred to the applicant when applying to a local passport authority through normal procedures for the replacement of his or her lost or damaged passport. The cost shall be settled on presentation of actual receipt issued by the passport authority.
vi. The above terms and conditions may be amended or varied by the Centre at any time.
vii. The above terms and conditions shall be governed by laws of Singapore.
viii. Applicants agree and confirm that they have read and understood the terms and conditions prior to submitting visa applications to the Centre.
